From the Blog
Almost exactly a year ago today I was introduced (via youtube) to the astrologer, Pam Gregory, and she predicted last December that the pace of change would gather momentum through 2025 and, as the year progressed, the pace of change would be very fast indeed. From a personal perspective, there is a collecting of like minds and I can feel a dynamic shift which is gaining in speed and potency all the time. The synchronicity that is going on is nothing short of extraordinary; the sort of coincidences that if they were in a book or a film you would doubt the likeliness of them being true, but there is no doubt in my mind, something profound is happening, an awareness is awakening and I am feeling excited and grateful to be present, awake and aware at this time. Maybe it is coming from the planets, but I don’t have any understanding of that, but I can feel something happening around me.
I went to a talk by Isabella Tree from the Knepp Estate this week. She is a wonderful, passionate and inspiring person to listen to and the whole audience seemed to be enthused by what they were hearing. Crucially, in my opinion, she spoke of the need to see things differently and to work together to create a meaningful, and much needed, change to restore health to our soils, our wildlife and therefore ourselves and the planet. She spoke of creating corridors, not that we all need to rewild our land, but that we all need to think of ourselves collectively as ecosystem engineers and of the need to leave some room somewhere in our spaces for habitat, food sources, breeding sites and safety for other species so that they have potential to expand and can make a meaningful comeback and thus together, we are able to restore healthy ecosystems. As this is just what I have been saying, I was delighted to hear someone with her connections and influence, saying the same thing. It is part of the collective knowing that is coming from the whole, including perhaps even the stars, maybe this is what Pam Gregory was speaking about last year; the earth’s alerting system that has been grumbling for some time, but she is now shouting so loudly that an increasing number of us can hear and are doing something about it. I wish I was paying better attention 25 years ago, as Isabella did, but I wasn’t ready back then.
To exactly echo Isabella’s point of the need to create nature corridors, the week before last there was a meeting of the two neighbouring farm clusters, as we look to work together and find our commonality and mutual benefit from working together, in order to do exactly as Isabella said: to create corridors within farmland and urban areas, for wildlife. We will continue to meet and collaborate to help us become ready when funding next comes along. In the meantime, many of us are working at a smaller scale to establish the changes needed within what we can afford or are able to do within our farm schemes. Or to spread the word to other businesses in the area as well as community places and gardens. It is wonderful to work alongside others who share similar passions and who may, in time, weave threads alongside me to create something beautiful together. I met several people after Isabella’s talk who were very interested in hearing more about these corridors that are being established as they too are trying to do similar projects: another example of collaborative momentum gathering pace.
Then another exciting meeting was with the Surrey Nature Partnership. That too is working to create nature corridors across our landscape, coming from a slightly different perspective but with the same aims, same reasoning and same passionate energy. I hope to be able to coordinate with all these groups to be able to weave threads, share passion, collaborate to create a bridge towards others and spread much better health along the valley and beyond. Nature is calling and the response is reverberating around the whole area. We are coming dear Earth. Taking cue from the Hawaiian Ho’oponopono prayer: sorry it has taken me so long to hear you, please forgive me for all I have done, thank you for your patience, I love you.
Next week there are even more synchronous meetings and events so I await with anticipation at what December will bring. I wonder if Pam Gregory has anything insightful to say about what’s coming next; the trouble is, I have so much going on myself, I don’t have time to watch her to find out.
