Moving into the Light
Every year it is the same: a sense of relief, joy and gratitude at the increased amount of light. The pleasure from this never diminishes, year after year I feel equally joyful at having made it through the toughest part of the year. I do like winter, but as we edge closer to spring, I have definitely had enough of the wet, cold, mud and, most noticeably, the prolonged darkness. Light is powerful. The energy emitted from the sun is full of potential positivity. It offers life, warmth and growth. To bathe in its sweet morning hue is to feel replenished and enlivened, almost renewed. Surrounded by increasingly intense birdsong, there is a collective awakening; this feeling of relief, joy and gratitude it seems isn’t just mine, it is a shared, collective response.
Light is one of the most powerful forces in the universe. It is like a living presence that can be anywhere and everywhere at once. Light is a potent force of transformation, and creates so many changes as well as enabling all life on the planet. I have been using light to strengthen my connection to the whole, calling upon it to transmute energy and to empower and heal myself, my loved ones and the land. Light increases one’s vibration, amplifies the strength of positive thoughts and opens the heart. Linking with it in this way, harnesses its power, creating good all around you. Everything we do that is positive and loving is more influential than anything done that is not. During these current, turbulent times it could not be more critical to do this than ever before.
We can bring more light into our life by thinking of it. Light responds to your thought of it; as you think of it, it is immediately drawn to you. As you think of light more often, you will become charged with light, building a radiant body of light all around you. The more light you can hold, the higher your vibration and the greater your ability to transform the energy around you. As light is called in, the heart opens more and more. It is easier to feel more trust in the universe, gaining confidence that comes from being able to create good things whilst feeling peaceful no matter what is going on around you.
Light Meditation
Imagine you are standing under a waterfall of sparkling light, and that your body and aura are becoming more and more radiant. Feel light flowing through your body; making this light as beautiful as it can be. Just thinking of light will rejuvenate your body at a cellular level and increase your available energy; completely fill your body with light. Light can lift you to your next level of growth and dramatically change what you experience in life. Connect with light for a few moments every day. Every time you connect with light you are building a bridge between yourself and the higher realms. As you build this bridge of light, you will become more radiant and effective on the earth in whatever you are doing. This light can be sent to yourself as healing, or to a situation to help find the solution, or to other people or the land. Sending light to others who are in either physical or emotional pain, comes back to you multiplied and can be done simply by imagining light going from your own eyes (or hands) to those of someone or something else. Increasing the amount of light you can hold and radiate is a great gift to yourself and the world. This will be important I feel, in the predicted years of tumultuous chaos heading our way.
I will be mindful of this in the coming months of increased daylight. Using my mediation time to hold this sense of optimism and healing for all. Soaking in the sense of joy, relief and gratitude that the increased light brings. Then work to amplify my radiance of light to heal the world around me.
