From the Blog
No matter what is going on in the world around us, our roots are what anchor us. The deeper our roots, the more turbulence we are able to withstand. We are in a time where we must, purposefully, lay down deep roots. Ones that intertwine with others, like intricate, mycelial networks that can span a continent and create deep powers of communication offering solace and companionship for those other, like-minded souls with similarly deep roots.
This week saw the full November moon, I have also heard it called the ‘Beaver Moon’. It is a time for pausing to consider one’s roots, the journey taken by our ancestors who provided us with our intricate root system, and then decide which of these roots nourish and sustain us and which ones need discarding as they no longer serve us. This time period we are living through is a potent time of change as we move into the age of Aquarius and with it, a shift in energy. In my opinion, a much needed shift in energy. This is a time to consider our roots and an opportunity to release the beliefs to which we have been tethered. It makes me think of an enabling statement that I heard today: ‘Everything we are to become, we already are’.
As these shifts in consciousness are happening, so too is our scientific understanding. Time is not linear and it has been recently shown by physicists in Copenhagen that particles can change their past state depending on how the researchers choose to measure those particles in the future; known as retrocausality. The choice of how a photon of light was measured changed its earlier state, as if the universe anticipates the choice and adjusts history accordingly. Until a decision is made, the past remains unidentified. This potentially means that every decision we make might be shaping history itself, rather than us responding to the past events in history as we currently believe; the past is not fixed until we decide what it will be.
If this is the case then, we can alter our own roots by deciding to perceive them differently. Choosing what serves us and what is no longer useful for us to carry forward, can free us to move into this new age. Is it our life’s purpose to bring forward an inner state of balance, to bring forward perceptions from history that are useful and to discard those that are not, so that we can move into this new time period and become the change we want to see in the world? If so, we need to find new language and to communicate what we perceive and want to share, in order to offer encouragement, support and nourishment to others on a similar journey, thus strengthening and growing our interconnected root system. Together we will create deeper, more stable roots which will change the future and take us towards a better, more supportive existence, where we sustain all of life, not just a chosen few. Humankind is not superior, it is simply part of the Whole.
I see it that our current challenge is to bridge the gap that exists between the old paradigm and the new one that is emerging. To become something that we don’t yet recognise or understand is a challenge to behold, but is achievable from the perspective of the scientists in Copenhagen. The potent November moon facilitates this as the right time. The past and future exist within the present moment. Within each of us is the capacity to create our own change. We must honour the journey of those who came before us, who enabled us to be who and where we are and with all the gifts we need to facilitate the change in consciousness we are going through. Are you with me, to be part of a deepening, interconnected root system? I believe we will need each other to weather the oncoming storm.
